All things shiny and beautiful
I am typing this blog entry on my brand new laptop, its lovely, all sleek and silver with a widecreen display and it doesn't make whirring noises when I try and do anything. Even though we had broadband already, now we have a computer which knows what broadband is and we can use it properly.
I have been enjoying an impromptu half term as my uni can't be bothered to teach me at the moment, I was able to read a fiction book for a change which is great, as normally all I have time to read are uni books. I would whole-heartedly recommend 'Kafka on the Shore', my christmas present from Tom which I finished last week. Its beautifully written, very dreamy and full of confusion and mystery making you give up everything so you can keep turning the page.
We had a really lovely weekend, visiting Lyme Regis and Charmouth where we wet fossil hunting and found a few ammonites by the shore. It was bloody freezing though, you couldn't do anything to stay warm and the wind kept lifting up my skirt. It was too could to walk along the famous Cobb in Lyme so we had a hot chocolate in a sweet little cafe instead.
I have been a bit late, but have recently discovered the world of e-bay, buying a deleted cd for my parents, the Edukators DVD and a bargain Trains from Brazil 10". Very exciting to have lots of parcels arriving on the doormat. We're off to Bristol to see Belle & Sebastian and stay in a hotel on Wednesday, so lots to be looking forward to. Will report back at the weekend.
